It’s the day of Gup Gups Launch, and we are extremely pleased to showcase our last collaborator for our Vancouver Show – Shane Rebenschied!!! Shane is one of our dear friends, a great guy, and an amazing illustrator. Just look at that client list!!! Shane may be mostly known for his book cover illustrations that have been published around the world, but he is also the first person we knew with a website back in 1995…and it was the best Beavis and Butthead site ever!!!

Shane Rebenschied

Graduating from the Art Center College of Design in 1998, Shane worked as a designer for the House of Blues and an instructor for, inc. before turning his attention–full-time–to illustration in 2002.  Since then Shane has had the opportunity to illustrate countless book jackets for numerous publishers and advertising agencies in both the U.S. and abroad.  Shane has also had the pleasure of taking part in illustrating Newbery Award winning author’s books for Jerry Spinelli and Cynthia Kadohata, Hugo Award winning author Orson Scott Card, as well as Don Pendleton’s classic Executioner and Superbolan series and the timeless classic Miracle on 34th Street.

Shane Rebenschied is a freelance illustrator whose client list includes the following (partial):  Abrams, BBC, Bloomsbury, Febreeze, Harcourt, Harlequin, Harper Collins, Hodder Headline, Houghton Mifflin, Hyperion, Maxim, Pearson, Penguin, Random House, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, St. Martin’s Press, Tor, and The Washington Post.  He is represented by Shannon Associates.
